We finished talking about narrative tenses in the past this week - we looked at one more story.. vocab.... to swerve - to turn suddenly, especially in a car hail - little pieces of ice falling from the sky We then went on to learn about phrasal verbs....these are verbs that have a verb and a preposition, where the verb does not have its normal meaning... We read a text to row - to argue to follow in someone´s footsteps to take off  - when a plane leaves the ground to get on with - to be friendly with to make up - to be friends again after an argument to take after - to do something similar in life to an older relative

We looked again at phrasal verbs..... put up with - to tolerate to bring up - to educate a child Some phrasal verbs have more than one meaning... I made up a story for my son.  My friend and I argued, but then we made up.
