We finished talking about narrative tenses in the past this week - we looked at one more story..
vocab....
to swerve - to turn suddenly, especially in a car
hail - little pieces of ice falling from the sky
We then went on to learn about phrasal verbs....these are verbs that have a verb and a preposition, where the verb does not have its normal meaning...
We read a text
to row - to argue
to follow in someone´s footsteps
to take off - when a plane leaves the ground
to get on with - to be friendly with
to make up - to be friends again after an argument
to take after - to do something similar in life to an older relative
