LEVEL 5 GRAMMAR, JANAUARY 30TH, 2018
We continued with verb patterns. We spent some time looking
at some verbs that can be followed by both -ing and to:
Start, Begin, Continue, Intend are all verbs that can be
followed by -ing or – to do with no change in meaning.

It started raining.
Some verbs can also be followed by -ing or -to do, but the
meaning changes…..

“smoking” tells you what
I stopped.
I was working hard but I got thirsty. I stopped to drink some water.
