We looked at the different pronunciations of the past tense,
regular verbs….

We also looked at some irregular verbs.
Go – went eat
– ate do
– did
Aught/ought
Buy – bought
Catch – caught
Teach – taught
-ew
Fly – flew
Blow – blew
Grow – grew
We then practiced the negative in the past tense.
I went to France but I didn’t go to Spain.
We have to use the infinitive (go, eat, say, do
etc) in the negative and question
For homework, we have to complete the negatives on
p.30 and then write questions to ask another student from p.29 – The First
time…..
Eg. Mark flew for the first time when he was 20.
When did you fly for the first time?
